He is a Nigeria Country Specialist to Swarthmore College, Philadelphia, USA, and Editorial Consultant to UNDP's Choices magazine since 2001. He is a member of the Global Investigative Journalists Association and World Editors Forum.

Dr. Odejide was recruited into The Presidency, Federal Government of Nigeria in 1990, serving as Instructor/Trainer at Federal Training Centres in Ilorin and later Ikoyi, Lagos. He has helped establish Distance Learning Programmes with multiple Colleges of Education across Nigeria and has been a part-time lecturer at Grace Polytechnic and Adeniran Ogunsanya College of Education.
